I have just ordered an Aquos 26" model with the latest 'PC Input' on the back (just above the 2 scart inputs) - the Sales-staff say I can use it as a monitor or a TV! Terrific!

Amazing sharp technology June 18, 2006
A top of the range model for the outlay.
Picture quality is excellent, as is the surround sound (on or off) It's 26" screen seems to be spot on for a medium sized room, viewed from a distance of around 9 or 10 feet.
Having viewed other plasma and larger screen LCD's this was the one for me, space age, and a million miles away from normal CRT

Not HD Ready May 19, 2006

My friend purchased the Sharp last week on the basis he was told this was "HD Ready". However it's not. HDMI provides an input for HD equipment i.e Sky's HD box, but this does not itself provide HD viewing as the screen resolution does not meet "HD Ready" standards. Despite this picture quality is very good on standard broadcasts an will no doubt be improved even further when viewing HD broadcasts.

This is my first LCD. I went for this set cos I was worried about the quality of SD on other higher res sets (this one has Sharp's PPP system to match UK PAL SD broadcasts, check their website for details).

After a bit of fiddling with the settings I'm happy with the picture quality. Viewing distance is very important with LCDs as the closer you sit to it the worse the picture looks. I sit about 6-7 foot from this set and it looks good.

I wish they did a 28" version as 26" is a tiny bit too small but 32" would have dominated my room too much.

Purchased this model last week. It is brilliant, the picture is sharp and clear with bright colours. The sound is excellent and there is no sign of blurring with moving objects. It also looks great,I would highly recomend it.
